Because I understand that there can be a grey area when it comes to the differences between proofreading and copyediting, I offer my services at a combined rate. If you ask for a proofread, I’ll automatically perform a light level of copyediting, vice versa.

However, at the moment, I do not offer any structural or developmental editing services. If this is needed, I strongly advise hiring someone else to perform that prior to coming to me.

As mentioned on the The Mission page:
I check content’s spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, and consistency, and I point out any other issues that may be potential concerns. However, I do not research or check facts, nor do I do any structural or developmental editing or line editing. (In the future, if I offer any of these services, I will post them here.) So, please have any of this type of editing completed prior to requesting my services. My role is simply to ensure you have a clean and polished result while preserving your voice and your message.

Prepayment is required for all jobs.

Rates are as follows, and deadlines are provided on a case-by-case basis:

• $10 flat rate for content less than 250 words
  (proofread/light copyedit)
• $15 flat rate for content 250–499 words
  (proofread/light copyedit)
• $25 flat rate for content 500–999 words
  (proofread/light copyedit)
• $.03 per word for content 1,000 words or more
  (proofread/light copyedit)

For RUSH jobs (need to be completed within 2 days of confirming receipt of your request), pricing is double the regular rate. This option is only available for content less than 1,000 words.

(For this deal to be valid, your captions must be less than 500 words each.)

This deal only applies to social media post captions. If you need your posts to be proofread/copyedited, you have the option to bundle your posts at a discounted rate. The regular rate is $10–$15 each, depending on the word count. However, as long as each caption is less than 500 words, the solid rate for proofreading/copyediting is as follows:

• 5 posts for $40
• 10 posts for $75
